A sow nurses piglets; a reference to Catalyst’s efforts to cultivate new political candidates in Baldwin County

CATALYST INTIMIDATION - A PIG PEN

Baldwin County politics has always been a good ole boys club and Catalyst hopes to swell those ranks with a slate of candidates that are like minded. Catalyst is a Fairhope based operation that has done it’s best to destabilize Fairhope’s Government by attacking the Mayor, often using the Gulf Coast Courier, editor Chuckee Cheeze, to spread the rumor of the day. Mr Kevin Boone is a councilman in Fairhope and farther to Scott “baby” Boone who is the “brains” of Catalyst. “Baby” Boone wants everyone to believe his father has nothing to do with Catalyst. I guess that means that all those documents and information leaked to Chuckee about Fairhope just fell out of the sky, because he did not get them by formal Freedom of Information requests.

CATALYST DOES FAIRHOPE

Sorry folks about being late for Wonderful Wednesday, which is now FREAKY FRIDAY but I have been in Facebook Jail for three days. The Ripp Report pushed someone’s button and they complained to Facebook who took us offline for three days to investigate the complaint. Catalyst has no sense of humor. The Ripp Report would like thank those who made recent donations to our cause. CATALYST DOES FAIRHOPE Notice to all citizens traveling on Highway 98 through Fairhope that cross the Parker Road intersection: LOOK FOR DELAYS, FOR YEARS.

CATALYST “BIRDS OF THE SAME FEATHER”

Catalyst is a political cancer found in Baldwin County. It hand picks political candidates. Catalyst was formally Stacy Elliott and Haygood, the birth of the cancer, that morphed into Catalyst when Mr. Chris Elliott became a county commissioner and Haygood became the Mayor of Daphne. Catalyst represents the old guard or good ole boys. They carefully “select” candidates to represent their interests and place them in as many different races as possible. From probate judge to State Senate and all four Baldwin County commission races.

ALABAMA SEC. OF STATE: THE ONLY ONE

Baldwin County has only one example of a state elected official, who received, and took action, on multiple complaints from the general public, related to possible election tampering. ONLY ONE, think about that! Complaints have been filed in Baldwin County with the Alabama Judiciary about certain Judges, Michelle Thomason and Buddy Bracken, in particular. The Judiciary did nothing and the complaints continue. Complaints have been filed with the Alabama Bar Association about numerous attorneys, Steven Johnson topping the list, nothing was done.

TRIANGLE, PART 2 “PUBLIC-DRIVEN VISION”

Fairhope’s Triangle, is Fairhope’s most valuable land asset. This vacant piece of land has been the focus of litigation, on and off for over 25 years. Ultimately, Fairhope purchased the land as part of the legal settlement, for 11.25 Million which included the legal fees of approximately 3 million. Estimated land value today would be between 18 and 20 million. The Restore Act Money, from BP, started a stampede of political entities, State, County and Municipal, to go for all the money they could grab.

CHUCKIE CHEEZE

April fools joke? No sadly this is how journalism is portrayed in Baldwin County. We have no print media coverage on the eastern shore, only bad tabloid news. Baldwin County has had some very good journalist, Connie Baggett and Mike Odom were two of the best. What we have been left with is more than embarrassing, it is a travesty of free speech and journalism. The Gulf Coast tabloid, The Courier, has deteriorated into a tool for Catalyst, a political cancer. The editor has bitten the Catalyst apple and has berated and embarrassed Fairhope as a community. Fairhope should ask themselves, who in the Fairhope Public Library thought that Chuckee should be the one to address Freedom of Speech. Who in the Fairhope library has a Catalyst agenda and thought that Chuckee attacking the Mayor and Fairhope was a good idea?

CATALYST SKUNK

County Commission place three has three candidates trying to run over the skunk of the County Commission, Tucker Dorsey. Democrat Heather Brown and Republicans Will McDaniel and Billy Joe Underwood. Tucker Dorsey showed his stripes before even taking office. He, Bob James and Frank Burt had meetings before being sworn in. As soon as they had been sworn in the three had an alliance and fired over 10 people from the county employment, department heads, lawyers, county manager and the EMA director.
Prohibited handshake with money: Symbolizing concerns over potential corruption and changes to Alabama ethics laws

“They're screwing us, Alabama. And telling us to like it.” - John Archibald

The Alabama Ethics Commission has become the facilitator for corruption in the state, they now want to expand on their role. They want to change existing Ethics laws which would allow things, illegal today, to become legal, all because of the Mike Hubbard conviction. These changes send us backwards and turn a blind eye to elected officials using their elected office for personal gain. What is sad is who the sponsors of these changes are.
