The present council refused to take any action on behalf of the citizens, which they could have done, involving the Fly Creek Apartments. The council explained there was nothing they could do to stop the apartments or enforce any of the city’s ordinances that may amend the approved MOP Site Plan.

Hard to tell what the truth is these days but some information leaking out, if true, will set Fairhope’s hair on fire. A. Jack Burrell denied, on WACO radio, any party was held at his house. He omitted the fact that it was his son who sponsored the party at Jack’s in laws. Jack is very clever at covering Jack’s back. The Jack bus just ran over his in laws, WACO radio, the tabloid Courier as well as his son. We just will have to wait and see what is Fact and what is Fiction. The truth will come out, it just won’t be out of Jack’s mouth. Is it truth, fiction or just allegations?

The Fairhope City Council has had blinders on when it comes to accountability and transparency. Leadership by the Council President is non-existent. In fact, Council President Jack Burrell has fully disgraced his position and the City of Fairhope and should immediately resign. Last night at the end of Fairhope City Council meeting, at the 1:10 mark, Jack Burrell and Councilman Brown were talking about traffic. Mr. Burrell warned the citizens of the community:
What started out to be a “Fresh Start for Fairhope” has turned into a political PAC raising money and preparing for the 2020 Fairhope Municipal elections. All their talk and advertising promotes a change of Government for Fairhope, this part of the equation most agree on. A Council Mayor form of government also has a green light. The sticking point is the City Council being At Large or Districts Here is where you got to be careful around skunk’s, they can take a good thing and make it smell.
The Ripp Report is back. Sorry for missing a week but some old injuries caught up with me, I suffered a body concussion in Vietnam, 50 years ago, as a result I have had 14 surgeries, two infections, a muscle tear and my kidney removed, Agent Orange. My operation Dec. 2017, a total reverse shoulder, went well for 4 months, then I discovered slippage in the shoulder. July 20th I had surgery to correct that and discovered that the shoulder was infected. Now I am having to deal with recovery and daily infusions for a month. My other shoulder is scheduled for a total reverse Dec. of this year, providing all current conditions are cleared up. That is my excuse for missing last week posts, it is the first weeks posts that The Ripp Report has missed in several years. So I am back, not quite 100%, but getting better every week.
