CATALYST CENTRAL

In the last Fairhope municipal election the Ripp Report supported most of the City Council, even Jack Burell. The focus of the election was to elect a new mayor. It became perfectly obvious in the three previous elections that the mayor ran the city day by day and decisions were made by a select few, good ole boys. Infrastructure was ignored and good ole boys were rewarded. In years past Lynn Stacy, who has left this earth, was the major power broker for political candidates. He would brag about a 100% success rate, let that sink in.

BAR STOOL “CONTINUED”

The wheels of justice move slow, especially when the good ole boys knock out the spokes. 15 months ago we reported on an incident that should have been resolved in 6 months. BARSTOOL - Ripp Report Corruption has many faces. In Fairhope the local arrest of a bar owner, Ronan McSharry, drew little more than a paragraph of coverage and little or no …

MARBLE MOUTH

Fairhope’s City Council started out, day one, as being obstructionist. They have stayed the course for over 3 years and the taxpayers have paid dearly. The three new councilman aligned themselves with Council President Burrell, aka the negotiator, from day one. The council votes as a block vote, 95% of the time. Councilmen Brown has used his office for personal gain and has a complaint pending with the Alabama Attorney General.

OFF THE RAILS

JANUARY 10 2020 BACKSTORY PODCAST TODAY Fairhope’s City Council has no priorities, or if they do it is off the rails. Consider Fairhope just had another sewer spill. This council has slowed down infrastructure projects and misused city funds. They are rouge and conduct themselves as a criminal enterprise. CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE WATCH UNTIL MINUTE 2:07–9:03 Think about this, three councilmen Boone Brown and Burrell, without any community involvement or public participation paid 2.75 million for land for recreation. They have no money for development so their solution is to lease the 2.75 million in land for farming??????? This is the same three councilmen who have ignored the sewer infrastructure for years. If it were not for city staff and the mayor, who obtained BP funds, nothing would have been done. This is the first time in 20 plus years where sewer infrastructure is being seriously addressed, WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE COUNCIL.

Use extreme caution through this intersection. It is going to become more dangerous every month this year.

ROTTEN

WORST ELECTED OFFICIAL IN BALDWIN COUNTY I admit that Baldwin County has it’s share of corrupt and inept elected officials. Two stand out in their field as the worst elected officials with the worst records. The grand prize of being the most infamous and comprised elected official came down to Sen. Elliott and Jack Burrell. Senator Elliott came in second to Fairhope City Council President Jack Burrell, who is at the head of a City Council, operating as a criminal enterprise.
