Fauxhope municipal elections have started off with a bang. Five candidates have qualified for city council positions, and support one another in a solid slate. A very smart move. Who would want to be a minority councilman facing a well entrenched cabal of good ole boys, developers, politicians, lawyers, judges and let’s not leave out the District Attorney’s Office. The new contenders, running as a solid slate of 5, have caused panic among the current council, who are supported by the developers and special interests, aka Catalyst. In the past 4 election cycles the council has members ran independent of one another, or so they professed. This election is different. The incumbents are united and their message is clear, vote for all of us!
DON’T TAKE THE BAIT — VOTE FOR THE SLATE The Fairhope City Council and Mayor got a rude awakening the last day of qualifications for the upcoming municipal election on Aug. 26. The entire council has now got challengers and they are taking an approach to the election a little different than the last 5 election cycles. They are running as a slate of candidates. So what we have is the status quo being challenged by candidates representing change.

The killing of O.J. French of Bay Minette was over a traffic stop by an office who was fully aware who he was stopping. It was JUSTIFIED by the Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit, who investigates themselves. The Chief of police of Bay Minette, Al Tolbert, is on the major crimes unit and the police officer who killed Mr. French, works for him. Sheriff Mack at the time also was on the Major crimes unit. It is now a federal lawsuit as well as the Johnathan Victor case. Johnathan was killed by a sheriff deputy. He was unarmed and gunned down with an assault rifle, another pending federal lawsuit.
Alabama is number one in the United States when it comes to political corruption, by far. The Department of Mental Health run by Kimberly Boswell ranks “In 2024, Mental Health America ranked Alabama 50th out of 51 states for access to mental health care.” The veteran suicide rate is higher than the national Veteran average and significantly higher than the national civilian average. Let that soak in! Alabama Veterans are now under siege by our Biden syndrome Governor who cannot make a 3 minute speech without reading every word and exiting the podium as soon as possible. Her vindictiveness is in full throttle to dismantle the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs.
