Hurricane Delta approaching a figure, symbolizing Lake Charles facing another direct hit after significant storm damage

MISSED THE BULLET

Sally kicked Baldwin County’s ass, however we missed the Delta bullet. Poor Lake Charles is getting what some of us expected last Monday, round two of a direct hit by a hurricane. In Lake Charles they have picked up 1.5 million cubic yards of debris, so far, and they are now facing the possibility of doing it all over again. Link No Longer Exists Count your lucky stars Baldwin County and do not complain about debris pickup. The county as a whole lost thousands of trees and cleanup will take months, if not a year. Fairhope is doing a good job at 11,000 cu yards a day, now divide that into 1.5 million cubic yards and guess how many truck loads it will take to clean the county?

M.I.A

I have been Missing In Action from social media since September 15th and it feels like a year. Right before the storm, I received news of my best friend’s grandson was killed on a motorcycle. Needless to say his daughter was as devastated as he was. While sitting there trying to comprehend the loss, I got a call from the father of a gentleman I was advocating for in a property dispute. He informed me his son had become stressed out over the issue, and he had committed suicide.

34,353,000 SARS-COV-2 cases globally with 1,023,000 deaths. The USA has the highest rate of infection of any country on earth and last night we learned via Twitter that President Donald Trump and the First Lady are among the 7,282,000 cases reported to date with 207,800 Americans having lost their lives to the resulting disease of Covid-19. We discuss the 25th Amendment and when the VP may take control if the President is incapacitated, it has happened a-plenty and in the past very few Presidents have been transparent when it comes to their health.

READING IN THE RAIN

You're stuck inside. How about doing a little reading? It may educate you on why Alabama is number one, in corruption and religion, in the United States. That combination labels us as hypocrites. You see religion is the tool of crooked politicians and they use the church to lure you into false narratives for their personal gain. My father told me once that if a politician tells you he is a christian and he wants to be your friend, run like hell.

Backstory Podcast 9/11, 2001 Remembered

28,268,970 SARS-COV-2 cases confirmed worldwide with a total of 911,282 deaths; 6,417,146 in the USA with 192,381 deaths; 136,703 cases in Alabama with 2,333 deaths. September 11, 2001 remembered: a tragic day for our Country. Absentee voting, Bass Pro Shops shooter; Baldwin County’s new proposed zoning districts; Governor Ivey’s prison plan; extortion via cell phone from Alabama Correctional Facilities (and probably a murder determined to be a suicide); Gulf Shores, Alabama (home of Jack Edwards Airport) is to get a tower thanks to Federal $ and a commercial carrier.

SHADOW GOVERNMENT SOUTHERN STYLE

9/11 let us never forget, over 3000 lives lost. Today we face another tragedy, Covid-19, which is claiming in the United States, 6000 lives a week, 192,000 to date, Think about that. For years I have provided documents and other evidence that implicates Attorneys, Judges, Mayors and Council members involved in illegal activity, and in most cases, using their elected office for personal gain. Complaints to the Ethics Commission, Bar Association, Judiciary, Attorney General, and in some cases FBI, all fall on deaf ears.

BALDWIN COUNTY

If you live in Baldwin County then you know that local news print is almost non existent. Citizens are at a disadvantage at knowing what the real truth is and politicians are fine with that. Community engagement or public participation is probably 1 to 3% of the population. Fact is, most councils, Fairhope for one, would be fine with no community engagement or public participation. ABSOLUTE POWER

Power corrupts absolute power corrupts absolutely Between 1837 and 1869, he was known as Sir John Dalberg-Acton, 8th Baronet. He is perhaps best known for the remark, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." There will be no Golden Key for Fairhope. Special interests now have total control. Catalyst/Scott Boone Consulting did a good job of running what turned out to be a popularity contest, Wilson lost.

FAIRHOPE'S GOLDEN KEY

Tomorrow citizens of Fairhope will go to the polls, rain or shine. Most citizens do not understand some of the inner political workings of the city, like appointments. The Municipal Judge is appointed by the City Council, as well as the Municipal Attorney. Both these positions are hold overs from the past corrupt administration. Mayor Wilson pleaded with the council to consider a new appointment for each position. The council, led by Burrell for the last 8 years, ignored the citizens seeking change and immediately appointed Marcus McDowell as Attorney and reinstated Judge Snedeker.

CATALYST COUNCIL LAWSUITS

When the triangle lawsuit was going on, Fairhope's insurance company, sued the city saying that the city's bad decisions led to the lawsuit and they were not going to cover the legal expenses. This is a simplification of two long stories. The attorney for the city on the Triangle lawsuit was Cain O'Rear. He came to a council meeting and turned to the audience, held his right hand high, and promised the city would not have to spend a dime on attorney fees, Fairhope paid his firm 3 million dollars and we lost the lawsuit and had to pay 8.25 million for the property, as a legal settlement. Councilman Burrell denied this for years and claimed it was a voluntary purchase for a park, an outright lie.
