ROLL OF THE DICE

Here we go again, for over 20 years Alabama has been discussing a lottery. All that time while they were discussing gambling, Alabama was exporting dollars to other state’s lottery. Roll of the dice: Senator files Alabama lottery, gambling bill The lottery and gambling bill mirrors a comprehensive bill filed last year, but has just 12 days to pass the Alabama Legislature.
Map outline of Spanish Fort, Alabama, highlighting a municipal corruption case involving its mayor

THREESOME

Baldwin County has 14 municipalities and at any given time several are embroiled in some sort of corruption, that they are pulling a blanket over. It truly is amazing how elected officials use the legal system to wash their dirty laundry. SPANISH FORT: Settlement reached in alleged "slapping" incident involving Spanish Fort mayor A settlement has been reached in a federal lawsuit filed by a former Spanish Fort city employee against Mayor Mike McMillian. Lyndsey Cooper filed suit against McMillian after he allegedly slapped her. McMillian denied the claim. After the mayor was found not guilty in county court in October of 2020 Cooper filed a civil case against the mayor and the city clerk in federal court.

POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK

You ever notice how self righteous hypocrites love to gloat about other people’s problems, while ignoring those in their own state or community. How Tallassee went "crazy" For the last year, Tallassee has been rocked by nearly constant scandal. But underneath it all might just be overblown, small-town bickering.

HAPPY DAYS

It is amazing how many Facebook pages, and some media, only publish “happy days’ posts. How great the flowers are and how beautiful the bay is. First Fridays are fun filled with wine and spirited conversations about anything other than reality. I think Alabama is a beautiful state and Baldwin County shares Beaches, Mobile Bay, Rivers and plenty of woods for the hunters. People do not move to Baldwin County to become involved in politics and it usually takes at least 5 years to acclimate to a new area.

PRESS RELEASE

I’m Harry Still and I want to restore your faith in Alabama justice by serving as your Attorney General. I am a practical Republican not a Washington D.C. fundraiser. My home is here and I share it with all of you, my neighbors. I want to protect you from violent crime by keeping criminals locked up in Alabama prisons, not walking the streets in exchange for a few dollars or freed by federal oversight. I have waged a tireless fight against corruption in Alabama my entire adult life. I’ve never served a special interest group. For three decades, I have been serving you from the hallways of your city and county governments and in many of the Courthouses throughout Alabama.

TROLLS FOR TOLLS

The Bayway Bridge project started years ago with politicians biting their tongue’s and saying little about how they were going to finance the project. Then came the discussion about tolls, again they bit their tongue’s. Next, came Jim Zigler and his Facebook page: Over 50,000 people liked the site and faster than a politician could tell a lie, they all flipped flopped and said no tolls. A year, and several plans later went by, and all of a sudden Mobile and Baldwin MPO’s have married together to give a unified front FOR tolls. This political strategy puts all the politicians in the same pot and insulates them, somewhat, from public opinion, they think.
Black void representing Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall’s lack of transparency and responsiveness to public compla...

TOTAL DARKNESS

In Alabama politicians and elected officials will always go dark, rather than being transparent, when they have something to hide. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is the worst Alabama Attorney General appointed in the last 50 years. He has done little for the state of Alabama since his appointment by Love Gov, Bentley. Complaints filed with the Attorney General fall into black holes, with little or no response from the A.G. The A.G. is commonly referred to as “Always Gone”.
