Gambling Money Run Amok
It seems that The Speaker’s lobbyist Steve Raby is running around with a bag full of out of state gambling interest money. Some seems to have made it into the hands of some executives who work in the Mayor of Birmingham’s LGBTQ Office and are using said funds to support a Democrat. To get rid of a thorn in the side of the Alabama Legislature and especially Speaker Ledbetter’s, the Democrat Rep for Alabama House District 60 Juandalynn Givan, a true contrarian even in the Democratic ranks (which is a complement to her character).Take a listen and ask your pals if they know Joshua Coleman, Steve Raby, or Dax Swatek. Chances are your legislators (Elliott, Simpson, Allbritton, Holk-Jones and company) already got theirs, along with a candidate for Attorney General, which should make for a comical press conference from her boss who is running for US Senate. This should sink some ships but in Alabama News we call this “Just another Thursday”.
